COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Accounting I is the introduction to generally accepted accounting principles as applied to the preparation of general purpose financial statements. The major areas of accounting covered in the course are: The accounting equation, the chart of accounts, the accounting cycle, income measurement and reporting assets and liabilities.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND GRADING PROCEDURES:

Students are required to attend class and prepare written assignments on a daily basis. Two examinations and a final exam will be administered. The grades will be determined as follows:
EXAMS 25% EACH 75%.
HOMEWORK 20%
PARTICIPATION 5%
TOTAL 100%
