PREREQUISITE: MG101, INTROUCTION TO BUSINESS DESCRIPTION: THIS COURSE IS AN INRODUCTION TO THE MARKETING FUNCTION IN BUSINESS. TOPICS INCLUDE THE FACTORS AFFECTING THE MARKETPLACE AND AN EXAMINATION OF HOW THOSE FACTORS CHANGE AND MOLD MARKETING MANAGEMENT AND MARKETING DECISIONS.
 
 

OBJECTIVES: IN THIS COURSE YOU SHOULD GAIN AN INSIGHT TO THE ROLE AND FUNCTION OF MARKETING. START TO SEE HOW EVENTS AND DECISIONS CAN CHANGE THE MARKET, MARKETSHARE AND PROFITABILITY OF A COMPANY.
 
 

METHODS: LECTURE AND CASE ANALYSIS WILL BE USED TO SUPPLEMENT ASSIGNED TEXT READINGS.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. ATTENDANCE: IS IMPORTANT AND REQUIRED. STUDENTS MISSING MORE THAN THREE MEETINGS WILL BE DROPPED. RE-ADMISSION TO THE CLASS MAY BE OBTAINED AFTER MEETING WITH THE INSTRUCTOR. IF YOU MUST MISS MORE THAN THREE CLASSES PLEASE CONTACT ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

2. EXAMS: THERE WILL BE AT LEAST 3 EXAMS AND A FINAL EXAM.THERE WILL BE NO MAKE UP EXAMS.

3. PAPERS: AT LEAST ONE CASE STUDY WILL BE WRITTEN IT WILL BE NO LONGER THAN 3 TYPED PAGES DOUBLE SPACED.
